Acura MDX PMC handmade by NSX expertsNovember 16, 2019
The countdown to the Los Angeles Auto Show continues as Acura has announced plans to introduce the MDX PMC Edition.
Released on November 20, the MDX PMC Edition follows in the footsteps of the TLX PMC Edition, which was introduced earlier this year. Like the sedan, the crossover will be assembled manually at the company’s manufacturing center (PMC) in Marysville, Ohio, where the NSX is being built.
The MDX PMC Edition will have a unique exterior with exclusive Valencia Red Pearl paint, black grille, black chrome exhaust tips and 20-inch wheels with glossy black trim. Black glossy paint will also be applied to the roof, exterior mirrors, door handles and glass trim.
Two-tone modeling continues in the cabin, where drivers will find black Milano leather seats with Alcantara accents with red contrasting seams, an A-Spec sports steering wheel, A-Spec mats and an individual number plate on the center console.
Since the PMC Edition is based on the MDX Advance Package, the crossover also has heated / ventilated front seats, heated seats for the second row and a heated steering wheel. Other highlights include a premium ten-speaker audio system, GPS navigation, and an infotainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In addition, rain sensors, parking sensors, a blind spot monitoring system and rear cross-traffic warnings are installed.
For performance meets the familiar 3.5-liter V6 engine, which produces 290 hp. and 267 Nm of torque in combination with a nine-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive system.
The MDX PMC Edition 2020 model year will be launched early next year, and its production will be limited to 330 units, 300 of which are destined for the United States. On average, the novelty is estimated at 60,000 dollars. The remaining 30 copies will receive Canada.
