BMW 8 Series coupe got a new kit from AC Schnitzer and became more powerful
The German company AC Schnitzer will present a program of improvements for the BMW 8 Series at the tuning exhibition in Essen. The project is designed as a “design study”, the purpose of which is to study the reaction of the public. For the model will offer a very aggressive aerodynamic body kit, special elements of the interior trim and engine power increase package.
Tuners offer to equip the BMW 8 Series with a set of shortened springs, which will lower the center of gravity by 20-25 millimeters in front and 10-15 millimeters in the rear. And install different sized wheels: 20-inch on the front axle and 21-inch on the rear. New aerodynamic body kit made of carbon. It will include a front spoiler, splitter, canard, lining on the air ducts and ventilation grilles on the hood. A “racing” rear wing and a carbon fiber diffuser with an integrated brake light will appear at the back.
The cabin will have aluminum paddles, a set of pedals and a key holder. A quartet of exhaust pipes with a diameter of 105 millimeters wrapped in carbon and improve the sound of the entire system.
For machines, the 8 series will also offer a power increase package. Thus, the performance of a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 on the 850i xDrive will increase from 530 to 600 horsepower, and a 320-hp (680 Nm) diesel after visiting the AC Schnitzer will produce 380 hp and 780 Nm of torque.
