ABT released the 379-horsepower Audi S5 SportbackOctober 13, 2019
The German tuning studio finalized the diesel version of the Audi S5 Sportback.
European moification Audi S5 Sportback is equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel 347 hp and a torque of 700 Nm. The engine is assisted by an electric compressor for faster acceleration and a soft hybrid system that improves efficiency. Performance remains worthy of an Audi S-badged: S5 Sportback accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h (62 mph) in 4.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km / h (155 mph) electronically.
Inspired by emission standards, some potential European consumers may not like this step very much, especially since the 2020 Audi S5 in North America is likely to retain a 349-hp 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6.
Those who do not mind having a diesel engine under the hood may be interested in the updates offered by ABT Sportsline for the Euro-spec 2020 S5 Sportback. The highlight of the tuning package is the ABT Power performance increase, which uses ABT Engine Control (AEC) to increase the power of the 3.0-liter TDI to 384 hp. (379 hp) and peak torque of up to 760 Nm (560 lb-ft).
Although this update is not mind-blowing, it should lead to increased performance, although ABT Sportsline does not share performance characteristics. In addition to the upgraded drivetrain, the tuner offers a suspension upgrade consisting of height-adjustable ABT springs, which consists of adjustable lowering from 15 to 40 mm (0.6–1.6 in) and ABT anti-roll bars. Finally, the aftermarket specialist also offers new wheels, namely the 20-inch ABT Sport GR alloys with glossy black finish and diamond-flange rim.
These updates are also available for the S5 Sportback with a preliminary facelift, which was available shortly before the launch of the 2020 model with a 3.0-liter TDI V6 347 hp (342 hp).
