ABT finalized updated Volkswagen e-TransporterMarch 11, 2020
Volkswagen Transporter was updated last year, which means that the ABT also had to make some small changes to the electric version of this van: e-Transporter.
ABT does more than just develop spoilers, splitters, diffusers and bumpers for Volkswagen Group models. For example, a special department of a tuning studio called ABT E-Line is engaged in the development of electrified versions of existing models of the German group. So, the tuner recently introduced e-Caddy, and now the Germans are raising the updated version of e-Transporter to the digital scene.
The e-Transporter has a 37.3 kWh battery with a net power of 32.5 kWh. Depending on the chosen body variant, the electronic conveyor can travel up to 138 kilometers (WLTP). The electric motor that drives the front wheels has a power of 113 hp. and 200 Nm.
ABT supplies all-electric Transporter in various versions. For example, both short and elongated vans are available, and versions of Kombi or Caravelle are also available with an EV heart and ABT processing. The battery can be charged in 5.5 hours with a 7.2 kW charger. On a fast charger, the van can be “refueled” in about 45 minutes to a capacity of 80%.
