Abandoned for 35 years, the car was a real treasureFebruary 10, 2019
An interesting auto-story took place in the city of Turin in Italy. In the basement of one of the houses they found the rarest 1962 Alfa-Romeo Giulietta SZ.
It turned out that in the 80s the owner of the car hid the car in the basement, but could not lift it back – the freight elevator was out of order.
After some time, the owner of the car died, and the car continued to stand in the basement. After 35 years, she was found and still dragged out. Heirs from the owner of the car was not, so the car was sold at auction – 567 thousand euros went to the treasury of the city. Here is a curious way to fill the budget.
The high price is due to the fact that the Alfa Romeo Giulietta SZ was released only in 217 copies. It was this car that was modified by the famous studio Zagato, so instead of the original brakes – disc, ordinary glass changed to plexiglass. The maximum speed of this model is 200 km per hour, which is not bad for a car of the 60s.
