A woman hijacked a car and herself called the police, because she was hungryAugust 24, 2019
She ran out of gas, so she called the police and asked for food
A resident of the US state of North Carolina stole a car, but she soon ran out of gas, so she called the police herself, called the address and asked them to bring food.
Information about the incident was published by the local police station on its Facebook page. According to the sheriff, they received a call from a woman who said she was in her car in the middle of the road. She explained that she ran out of gas and asked the police to help, and at the same time bring her food.
A police outfit set off to call, and when they got to the car, they found out to their surprise that the car had been stolen the night before, and the criminal herself, whom they were looking for, called them. As a result, instead of the promised food, the police brought the woman and her passenger to the station.
The sheriff wrote that he really appreciates such trust on the part of citizens, and that the police are always ready to help. He added, when criminals ask us to feed them, the only food they can offer is prison.
In the middle of June, another funny case of theft took place in the UK – the man was so tired of walking that he decided to open someone else’s car and drive to his destination in comfort. As a result, the car’s security system almost immediately discovered the criminal, who was sent to jail: it turned out that he was already serving a suspended sentence for hijacking.
