A truck with a “hovering” cab was put up for sale. There are only two of them in the worldJune 3, 2020
This is the last project of designer Luigi Colani.
In Germany, a unique white Innotruck truck with an overhanging single cab was put up for sale. Futuristic car was the last project of the famous designer Luigi Colani.
Luigi Kolani built Innotruck in 2012 together with engineers from the Munich Technical University commissioned by the German company Siemens. The car, combining the features of a jet plane and a spaceship, was used as a test bench for innovative technologies. In total, two such specimens were built, one of which belongs to the Kolani family.
A feature of Innotruck is a single-seat cab located above the car body, which creates a soaring effect. It has touchscreen displays, as well as other controls that are individually configured for each driver. The truck itself is capable of generating energy through built-in solar panels and wind generators.
At the same time, the controls do not have a direct connection with the components of the chassis. All electronic signals are sent through wires to the wheels, brakes and other components. In the passenger part, the truck is equipped with a lounge with a kitchen, several tables and a sofa.
Innotruck is driven by electric motors powered by a diesel engine. However, at the moment, the truck is not on track, as engineers plan to replace the hybrid powerplant with an all-electric one. In addition, Innotraku cannot be used on public roads because it has not been certified. The cost of a futuristic project is not called, but the seller promises to inform her upon a personal request.
At the end of May, the engineers of the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer created a futuristic transport project of the future called Pulse, which can be implemented by 2070. According to them, after 50 years, a universal vehicle will use unmanned technology both on the ground and in the air.
