A teaser of the Volkswagen Golf R appeared on the networkOctober 15, 2020
A teaser of the updated Volkswagen Golf R has been published online.
The corresponding video was posted on his Twitter page by car racer Tanner Foust. The video begins by showcasing the headlights and LED panel of the upcoming hot hatch, which are the same as those found on the facelifted GTI and the rest of the Mk8 Golf.
At the same time, the appearance of the novelty is no longer a secret, since photo spies were previously able to capture a model without camouflage during tests. So, unlike the GTI, the Golf R will receive a revised front fascia with an original grille and large air intakes. Speaking of the stern, there will be an aggressive spoiler, diffuser and twin tailpipes.
Like the previous generation of the Golf R, the novelty will get a 4-cylinder 2.0-liter turbo engine with 328 hp. Together with the engine, a DSG dual-clutch transmission and four-wheel drive will work. The main competitors of the new model are the Honda Civic Type R and Renault Megane R.S. Trophy.
In addition, the German automaker Volkswagen has recently officially demonstrated the new Taos crossover. It should be emphasized that, despite the compactness of the body, the car has become one of the most advanced in the lineup of the German brand.
