A special edition of Mini Electric dedicated to the popular comic book heroNovember 3, 2020
It’s about a superhero named Flash, who celebrates his 80th birthday this year. This character first appeared on the pages of a DC Comics comic in January 1940.
Mini has unveiled a special edition of its electric hatchback at Lucca Changes 2020 in Italy. Thus, the brand celebrated the anniversary of the popular comic book hero – Flash. The image of this famous character adorns the body of the Mini Electric.
The iconic superhero was drawn by the talented cartoonist Carmine Di Giandomenico. The figure of Flash on the body of the Mini Electric is a reimagining of the cover of Historical Issue # 123, painted by Carmine Infantino. Recall that there were four characters in total, known under the pseudonym Flash – from Jay Garrick to Barry Allen. This continuity is reflected in the design of the Mini.
The Mini Electric is powered by an 181-horsepower electric motor combined with a 32.6 kWh battery.
Up to a hundred electric cars will accelerate in 7.3 seconds, its speed reaches 150 km / s, and the declared power reserve is 233 kilometers.
Earlier it became known that the MINI company plans to expand its model line with at least three cars. The company’s strategy is to develop electric cars, conquer the Chinese market and release crossovers.
