The Brazilian office of Hyundai has updated the family of budget models HB20. The main change is the appearance of a digital TV tuner in the multimedia system BlueMedia, which can be ordered for an extra charge even for the basic version. The appearance of the new option was timed to the forthcoming World Cup.
The HB20, built on the first-generation Solaris platform, includes a five-door hatchback, its cross version and a sedan. Models are created for the Brazilian market, but are exported to several other countries in South America. After the update, the HB20, in addition to the TV, has a new radiator grille, rims and other dashboard.
The basic versions of the Hyundai HB20 are equipped with a three-cylinder engine with a capacity of one liter (80 forces), the older – with its turbo version with a capacity of 105 horsepower. In addition, a 1.6-liter atmosphere is available for models, working in conjunction with manual or automatic transmission.
At the end of 2017, Hyundai ranks fifth in the Brazilian market. Over the past year, sales amounted to 201,973 cars and grew by 2.1 percent in terms of insurance from 2016. In total, in 2017, 138 thousand HB20 were sold.
