A sketch of a crossover from Cadillac appeared on the webNovember 17, 2020
On the official page of the American GM in the social network Instagram, a sketch of an elegant crossover from Cadillac appeared – the company is part of the concern. The novelty looks a bit like the electric Cadillac Lyriq.
The cars we see on the roads today have come a long way from the idea of their creators to the start of actual production. Countless sketches, designs and sketches of such vehicles end up in few places and rarely seen. But GM Design’s Instagram page allows a peek behind the designer’s curtain, and the latest post showcases an elegant Cadillac crossover that appears to have some similarities to the electric Cadillac Lyriq.
One of the most striking design features is the elongated back.
The shark fin, which sits above the styled roof spoiler and the sloped sunroof glass, houses a high-mounted vertical brake light. The design also features vertical taillights that “cut” into the rear fender, and a bright full-size light element connects them together. The space between the taillights and the lower diffuser resembles the outline of the Cadillac badge, which is very elegant in itself.
The rest of this design sketch is apparently intentionally not shown in detail – we are only shown a three-quarter rear view. The side section has a thin design line down the bottom that starts behind the front wheels as an air vent. However, this is otherwise typical Cadillac styling, with a strong body beltline that usually runs from the headlights down the sides of the car. The sketch contains the usual design elements such as oversized wheels and ultra-short overhangs.
Recently, AutoTimesNews wrote about the high-tech OLED display of the Cadillac Escalade 2021. Judging by the recently published video, the curved screen in the 2021 Cadillac Escalade SUV is high-tech and very useful. It consists of three separate screens.
