A prototype of the updated Jeep Compass crossover was spotted on testsAugust 25, 2020
An American crossover in the 2022 model year was spotted in a series of tests. The novelty received a screen of the infotainment system in the form of a tablet. The modified rear lights are also visible.
Western publications have published “spy” photos of the updated Jeep Compass crossover, which was seen on a public road. Camouflage hides a lot in the exterior of the novelty, but you can still look into the salon.
In addition to the striped camouflage pattern, the 2022 model year Compass has an additional camouflage coating on the front. Only the upper edge of the false radiator grille is visible.
At the rear, the new Compass has received a new set of taillights. Rather than having a large lamp at the outer edges, the rear optics are the same height along their entire length. Camouflage makes it difficult to consider whether there are additional changes in the rear of the car.
Part of the cabin can be seen in the profile picture of the compact crossover. You can see a tablet-like infotainment screen that rises above the front panel.
It is unclear if the updated crossover will receive changes in the engine range. In Europe, the 2021 Compass is available with a new 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 130 hp (150 hp in the S version). The Compass 4xe plug-in hybrid is also available in 190 or 240 hp. and an estimated power reserve in electric mode of 50 kilometers.
As previously reported, the new Jeep Compass will debut in 2022. Thus, we expect the updated crossover to debut in the first half of 2021 and will be positioned as a 2022 model year.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that Jeep announced the date of the debut of the Grand Wagoneer SUV. Jeep has shared more teaser images of the new top-of-the-line SUV, for which the Grand Wagoneer name will be revived.
