A prototype of the updated 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class captured

The journalists published photos from the final test series of the updated Mercedes-Benz C-Class. Only the front and rear parts of the car are covered with camouflage. Most likely, the debut of a new “workshop” can be expected in the very near future.

The Mercedes C-Class has been tested over and over again without losing its camouflage. Mercedes has yet to announce a debut date for the popular model, although the prototype seen definitely looks ready to start production. The camouflage continues to hide subtle changes Mercedes appears to be making to the model, although there will be significant changes inside too, which is unusual for a mid-cycle update.

The model will receive an update to the front and rear, some of which are visible through camouflage.

A sedan competing with the BMW 3 Series will likely get slimmer headlights that are visible even now, although other hidden changes could include a revised grille. The rear won’t get much change either. The mid-life update of the current model generation won’t change the car’s streamlined design much.

Mercedes is replacing the tablet-style infotainment system mounted on the top of the dashboard with a system similar in design to that introduced in the new 2021 S-class – an integrated screen in the center console. However, unlike the deluxe “eski”, previous spy photos showed the C-class with more physical buttons under the new screen.

The details of the engine range remain unknown, although the engine lineup shouldn’t be much different from what Mercedes is currently offering. Most likely, the German automaker will first introduce a sedan, then two-door versions of the model, and then a station wagon, and then hotter variants from Mercedes-AMG, which will probably be presented in 2022.

Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that Mercedes-Benz introduced the 2021 EQA electric crossover. The German brand has unveiled its new electric crossover, the Mercedes-Benz EQA. The new 2021 model year, which is the electric analogue of the compact GLA, has received many modern technologies, as well as 188 hp. power.
