A prototype of the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo electric car was seen on testsJuly 6, 2020
Some publications published photos from the tests of the camouflaged prototype of the electric Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo station wagon. Presentation of new items is scheduled for the end of this year.
About a year ago, Porsche announced the presentation of the E Cross Turismo electric station wagon, due later this year. The newest car will be based on the powerful Taycan sedan platform. Over the past few months, a huge number of test prototypes of the novelty have been noticed, conducting their usual road tests.
The latest “spy” video shows a German station wagon on a German autobahn.
This prototype Taycan Cross Turismo received a mysterious camouflage in the rear light, and we have seen similar camouflage before. While the video lasts a little less than a minute, it gives us a good overview of the back of a neat looking electric station wagon. Porsche still does not want to reveal the appearance of a solid LED rear light strip, which is similar to that of a regular Taycan sedan. In any case, this red ribbon makes the car look like a kind of raccoon and draws more attention to the taillights than anything else.
Of course, in fact, the Taycan Cross Turismo is the same Taycan, only with a longer roof and additional cargo space. As with the regular Taycan, we can expect similar, if not the same versions – the Taycan 4S, Taycan Turbo and Taycan Turbo S with power outputs ranging from 530 to 761 hp. You can also expect similar handling characteristics, extremely fast acceleration, as well as the presence of an all-wheel-drive system as standard.
Not so long ago, we wrote that the prototype of the updated Porsche 911 Sport Classic was seen at the Nurburgring. The testing phase is an unusual version of the German sports coupe Porsche 911.
