A prototype of the new BMW M8 Gran Coupe was spotted on the Nürburgring race track.April 22, 2019
Logical replacement M6 Gran Coupe looks very confident on high-speed cornering. The official presentation of the car is likely to take place at the beginning or middle of next year.
The “golden” era of sedans is long gone, especially in today’s automotive world, in which SUVs and crossovers rule the ball, but despite this, BMW is preparing to present a large 4-door coupe, which is essentially a sedan. I must say that the most practical representative of the revived 8-Series family looks quite stylish and, perhaps, is an ideal choice for those who are not ready to shell out for a crossover / SUV.
The fact that foreign journalists noticed a prototype of a high-performance version of the 8th Gran Coupe series says that we probably won’t have to wait long for the presentation of this car.
The standard version of the large coupe should be introduced later this year, so perhaps the M version will debut early or mid-2020.
The disguised prototype of the novelty seems to be fully serial body and optics, which are expected to resemble the magnificent concept M8 Gran Coupe, presented at the Geneva Motor Show just over a year ago (pictured above).
Under the hood, the BMW M8 Gran Coupe will be an upgraded version of the 4.4-liter V8 with two turbines. In the performance of the M850i, this engine will produce 523 horsepower. In the full performance of the M8, the power of this motor is likely to be more than 600 hp.
Finally, we note that we will learn almost everything you need to know about the long-awaited new product soon, considering that BMW will soon present the M8 Coupe and the usual 8 Series Gran Coupe.
