A prototype of the electric version of the BMW 3-Series sedan has been spottedJune 18, 2021
Journalists have published photos with a test prototype of the electric version of the BMW 3-Series sedan in a version with a long wheelbase. The novelty was camouflaged both inside and outside.
BMW was one of the first companies to decide to create electric cars. At the moment, the automaker’s lineup includes the i4 electric coupe and the iX crossover. Soon, the model range will be expanded due to the electric version of the 3 Series sedan.
Based on a version of the compact sedan with a long wheelbase, the environmentally friendly version of the “troika” received a sticker “Electric test car”, as well as a rear bumper, which does not stick out the exhaust pipes.
The front of the prototype is quite heavily disguised. According to rumors, it will receive a falshradiatorny grille of the closed type, similar to that which is installed on the iX3 crossover.
Unfortunately, foreign journalists were not able to capture the interior of the electric novelty – the photo only shows that it is all tightened with special camouflage panels. Although not much, the model is expected to feature a curved BMW display, which consists of a 12.3-inch digital dashboard and a 14.9-inch infotainment system with iDrive 8.
The company will also offer a more productive i4 M50 with two electric motors with a total output of 537 hp. and a torque of 795 Nm. This reduces the sprint time to 100 km / h to 3.9 seconds and increases the top speed to 225 km / h, but the range is reduced to a maximum of 510 km.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that the concept of the BMW 7 Series 2023 will be presented at the September Motor Show in Munich. It is expected that the novelty will cause a real sensation at the main motor show in Germany.
