A prototype of the “charged” station wagon BMW M3 Touring spottedOctober 14, 2020
The Bavarian company has begun testing the powerful BMW M3 Touring station wagon seen on the streets near the Nürburgring.
Photo spies managed to capture a prototype of the new BMW M3 Touring near the legendary Nürburgring track. The video, which appeared on the Web, presents a novelty, the body of which is completely covered with camouflage film. Note that the first information about a charged station wagon appeared 20 years ago.
It should be noted that the very appearance of the model contradicted the statement of the head of the brand Markus Flush in 2019, who said that the “charged” station wagon would not receive the status of a global model, despite the fact that the M3 Touring should appeal to motorists from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The official premiere of the new M3 Touring is due next year, when the Bavarian brand expands its M model lineup and adds an all-electric i4 M. The novelty will be powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged power unit with 503 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. The engine should only be coupled with an automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system. The station wagon should accelerate from zero to hundreds in about 4 seconds.
