Atelier Ares Design has unveiled the 2021 Panther version of the supercar model year. Among other things, the novelty will receive a special version of the gearbox with a gearshift mechanism with an artificial lock.

The Ares Design Panther sports car debuted two years ago and is already receiving a slight update for the new model year. This is an Italian supercar, officially known as the Panther ProgettoUno, the car is a modern version of the DeTomaso Pantera, built on the basis of the Lamborghini Huracan.

In 2021, the Panther will receive a new transmission. Dubbed the Leva Cambio Manuale Elettroattuata, or electrically powered manual transmission, it works like a sequential gearbox, but with a more traditional H-shaped gear shift pattern.

The transmission creates the feel of a manual transmission as the drives operate in parallel with the gear selector switches behind the steering wheel.

Another significant update is the redesigned exhaust system, which has three modes – Corsa, Strada and Pista. The cruciform exhaust system not only emits a raspy sound, but also optimizes the flow of exhaust gases as they exit the engine. On the outside, the Panther received a set of new, lighter wheels made from billet aluminum, now measuring 21 inches.

“We always put the experience of our customers at the forefront, so we continue to improve our cars,” comments Andrea Donati, technical director of Ares Design. “We are very pleased with the vehicle updates. The new gearbox gives the driver the opportunity to enjoy what is essentially manual control with all the thrill of driving a supercar, while the redesign of the exhaust system gives the driver an amazing sound that can be increased or decreased as desired. “

Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that Ares Design presented a “muscular” Land Rover Defender. Renowned tuning studio Ares Design has developed an upgrade kit for the Land Rover Defender. Among other things, the first generation of the British off-road legend received a powerful V8 engine.
