A new spy video from the Mercedes-AMG One tests at the Nurburgring appeared on the webMay 2, 2021
The camouflaged two-seater hypercar briskly passes the most difficult turns of the famous race track, demonstrating the flawless operation of the powerful engine.
The prototype Mercedes-AMG One hypercar continues to undergo the Nürburgring test. After the next arrival, a video was posted on the Web, which captured a test drive of the novelty. Up to this point, you’ve seen a static hypercar in spy shots. The video is published by CarSpyMedia on YouTube.
The test prototype hid the typical black and white camouflage from unnecessary witnesses. However, the camouflage did not prevent fans of the brand from forming their own idea of the performance of the hypercar – listen to how its engine works, especially during acceleration. AMG One had to cope with the toughness of the track in the rain, but the car easily coped with the task.
Recall that the AMG One concept debuted back in 2017. The German hypercar boasts F1 technology and the latest hybrid system.
The AMG One is expected to churn out over 1,000 horsepower (746 kilowatts) thanks to four electric motors and a small 1.6-liter V6 engine.
This power plant was borrowed from the Mercedes F1 W06 Hybrid race car and is capable of speeds up to 11,000 rpm. The Mercedes-AMG One is limited to 275 units already sold. One such hypercar costs about $ 3 million.
Earlier, AutoTimesNews said that Ford could build another electric car based on a platform from Volkswagen. This is the MEB platform. The novelty will be built specifically for the European car market.
