The master from the YouTube channel Woodworking Art this time showed us a functional copy of the American truck Ford F-150 Raptor. With the exception of the suspension springs, windshield and rear lights, the model is made entirely of wood.

The Woodworking Art YouTube channel has a lot of crazy cars made of wood. A few weeks ago, we wrote about an elaborate copy of the Japanese Toyota Land Cruiser SUV. No matter how impressive this project was, it did not have springs for suspension or sets of bearings so that meticulously made wheels could easily roll. It is these chips that the master’s new project boasts – the high-performance Ford F-150 Raptor pickup. Like the original car, the wooden copy has a long-stroke suspension. In addition to the suspension springs, as well as the windshield and taillights, these are the only non-wood products in this project.

The whole project began with a few boards and a couple of sketches.

With regard to detail, the master took some time to create body lines that were branded for the American full-size pickup truck – they were all carefully carved. What is only a false radiator grille with its complex pattern, as well as the creation of tire tread patterns. The rear door even has a functioning version of the Ford integrated stage and handrail.

The video lasts a little over 10 minutes, and, frankly, it may seem that the manufacturing process of such a model of this car is quite simple. However, do not be fooled – although we are not told how much time the assembly actually takes, there is no doubt that it took quite a few hours to create a wooden copy of the Ford F-150 Raptor.
