A fan rendering of a Mercedes-AMG supercar appeared on the webOctober 20, 2020
Artist Rain Prisk has unveiled his vision of Mercedes-AMG’s first mid-engined supercar. The virtual novelty is positioned as a rival to the Audi R8.
Mercedes-Benz has yet to unveil its mid-engined vehicle that rivals today’s supercars. Although, the current Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series sports coupe is on par with them in terms of power output. At the moment, the German brand is not particularly interested in creating flashy cars with engines behind the seats.
Digital artist Rain Prisk decided to fantasize about what a supercar from the German mid-engined sports brand could be that would rival the Audi R8.
At first glance, the rendering of the novelty has the expected design, reflecting the current styling of powerful cars from Mercedes-AMG. The headlights just seem a little out of style.
Currently, the most powerful Mercedes-AMG car is the One hypercar, which will have electric motors and an internal combustion engine in the back. The car will receive a road version of the 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 engine used in Formula 1 cars. The AMG One is expected to produce up to 1,000 horsepower and can spin up to 11,000 rpm.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote about what a completely new Mercedes SL-class might look like. A completely new generation of the German Mercedes-Benz SL-class roadster has appeared on the web. The virtual novelty has received a convertible roof with a soft top. The new SL-Class will debut next year.
