A car for sale that looks like a rearview mirrorFebruary 20, 2021
American Garage dealer Kept Motors sells a very strange vehicle that was built by designer Joey Ruyter. The Consumer Car is simply a box on wheels, the front of which is one large mirror.
As conceived by the creator, the mirror panel symbolizes the process of consumption. At the same time, the 4-seater Consumer Car interior is very minimalist: it has almost nothing except the seats, steering wheel, pedals and transmission lever.
There are no instruments, climate control and a multimedia system, even traditional mirrors are missing – instead there is one small mirror, which is installed on the driver’s side. The machine, in particular, does not have doors and a roof.
According to the sellers, Consumer Car has a legal status – you can move on it on public roads. It is noted that Joey Ruyter built his own design car in 2016 based on the 1993 Ford Festiva. Accordingly, the Consumer Car is set in motion by an atmospheric unit with a volume of 1.3 liters, together with which a 5-speed manual transmission functions. As for the cost of the Consumer Car, you will have to pay $ 49,900 for it. For the sake of comparison, in the Russian Federation for this money you can buy, for example, a new BMW X3.
