8×8 Tatra Lego Truck – an impressive little SUVAugust 23, 2019
An employee of Lego decided to assemble a functional copy of the Czech truck Tatra T813. The car received 10 engines and a remote control system.
We are never ceased to amaze with creations, but rather masterpieces from the Lego company. Probably, there is no such person who at least once has not heard about this children’s designer, and even in childhood many played him. There are copies of large cars in the model range of the brand, which are not just similar to their large counterparts, but can also provide some functionality – for example, a gearbox works, you can “spin” the motor.
There are also just crazy Lego projects, like this Tatra 8×8 truck, created at the request of the client. This car carries the MOC abbreviation, which means “My own creation,” and we have many reasons to admire this Lego Technic assembly.
This 8×8 truck is an exact copy of the real Tatra T813, which is the actual truck manufactured by the Czech company Tatra. At first glance, you might think that this is just an ordinary model, no different from other Lego Technic designers, but in fact it is not. Using several engines, this Lego masterpiece is a toy with remote control in which I (an adult uncle) would love to play.
Moreover, Lego’s Tatra T813 8×8 can even show off-road class by driving through the terrain that real trucks avoid. At the top of this page there is a video demonstrating the off-road performance of this toy, and we cannot say that we were not impressed.
Even more remarkable is the fact that 3599 parts were required to create the machine. To make the truck move, the creator used only 10 engines, and a remote control system is used for control. The machine weighs 3,810 grams.
