680-hp electric Cupra e-Racer was first brought to the trackJuly 4, 2018
The Cupra brand, belonging to the Spanish Seat and occupying the charged cars, for the first time brought to the racing track a 680-strong electric car e-Racer. The racing rear-wheel-drive hatchback was tested at the racetrack in Zagreb, Croatia.
Cupra e-Racer is equipped with four electric motors with a total capacity of 408 horsepower. Short-term output of the power plant for more intensive acceleration can increase to 680 hp. The motors are powered by a battery pack, which consists of 6077 cells – the equivalent of 9,000 batteries for smartphones.
From place to 100 km/h racing Cupra e-Racer accelerates in 3.2 seconds. The maximum speed is 270 kilometers per hour. Specification hatchback allows him to participate in the racing series E-TCR – a touring championship among electric vehicles.
