528-strong concept Lynk & Co 03 Cyan does not appear in GenevaMarch 5, 2019
The Chinese brand is teaming up with the WTCR racing team to create a racing car that can be driven on public roads.
Instead of presenting their new product – 528-strong concept 03 Cyan, at the Geneva Motor Show, the guys from the Chinese company Lynk & Co decided to do otherwise. 03 Cyan Concept was developed in collaboration with engineers from Cyan Racing, formerly known as Polestar, and is basically a road-legal version of the World Touring Car Cup racing car.
While the development of a race car in Spain is still ongoing, on the eve of the WTCR season, which starts in April of this year, the show car is a fully functional car, and, frankly, we want it to go into production.
“Creating a road version of a race car is a great way to learn more about the car and its characteristics,” comments Christian Dahl, founder and owner of Cyan Racing. “This is a concept of high power, but it can also be the first step towards offering this power to Lynk & Co customers, in which we bring what we learned from racing to regular cars.”
Although Lynk & Co says nothing about the possibility of turning the concept into a production version, the technical specifications of the car look quite promising. Under the hood, the Lynk & Co 03 Cyan has a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine producing 528 horsepower and 504 Nm of torque.
With a weight of 1287 kg, the concept takes 4.4 seconds to reach the mark of 100 km / h, and the maximum speed is 310 km / h.
