400-hp Mercedes-AMG A45 spotted on testsNovember 1, 2018
The high-performance version of the 5-door hatchback Mercedes-AMG A45 will definitely receive a new version of the proprietary all-wheel drive system.
In the event that the recently introduced Mercedes-AMG A35, the more powerful version of the 5-door hatchback, does not seem powerful enough, the automaker suggests paying attention to the Mercedes-AMG A45.
The official presentation of the Mercedes-AMG A45 will be held in 2019, and the car will be competing with the “charged” Audi RS3 Sportback for its buyer.
A couple of hours ago, our editorial staff had “spy” photos of two prototypes of the German novelty. It is reported that the cars were captured on the Nürburgring race track (Germany).
The car was partially covered with camouflage film, through which you can still see the Panamericana brand false grille, which the younger A35 does not have. At the rear of the prototype, twin tailpipes of the exhaust system can be seen. Note also the roof spoiler. We are informed that the serial version of the new product will receive a more aggressive appearance than that which the A35 version can boast.
We already know a lot about the A45 specifications – Tobias Moers, the Mercedes-AMG boss, spoke about them at the beginning of this year. Under the hood will be the newly developed 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine. Its maximum power will be even more than 400 horsepower. Also over time, the more “hot” A45 S will be introduced.
The car also boasts a new version of the all-wheel drive 4Matic system with a “drift” mode, similar to that of the E63 S.
Not so long ago, we wrote that spies revealed the interior of the new Mercedes-Benz GLB crossover.
