In Chicago, there was a costly accident involving a red Ferrari 488 Spider. Early Saturday morning, a spider, worth about $ 300,000, crashed into a bump stop, overturned, and instantly caught fire. Later it turned out that the supercar was rental.
The footage from the scene shows how the Ferrari pulls up to a sharp bend on Oak Street, known for the sad statistics on road accidents. However, the spider driver did not slow down. As a result, the supercar did not fit into the turn, flew into the bump stop, rolled onto the roof and burst into flames.
At the time of the accident, there were two people in the Ferrari: a 22-year-old driver and a 20-year-old passenger. Both escaped with minor injuries and were sent to the hospital. The police found that the cause of the accident was speeding in a dangerous area. No traces of alcohol or drugs were found in the driver’s blood.
Later, a local rapper named Geek Jab appeared on Twitter, claiming that he was the one driving the scrapped rented Ferrari. The criticism of his driving skills, which followed the stories about the accident in the media, he associated with the envy of those who cannot afford to rent such an expensive car. He also added that he is actually a “good driver”.
