23-year-old BMW with three wheels valued at 38,000 eurosJune 10, 2020
In Italy, an unusual BMW was put up for sale, which is a kind of mix of a motorcycle and a car. This is the three-wheeled BMW Modulo Car M89, which was built back in 1997.
It is known that the car is unique – it was made in only one instance. The atypical miracle of technology is in excellent condition, its mileage is only 1000 km.
The unique three-wheeled BMW is equipped with a 75-horsepower (50 Nm) three-cylinder engine with a capacity of 740 cubes. Previously, such a motor was installed on a BMW K75 motorcycle, which was produced from 1985 to 1995. The transmission, a 5-speed manual, was also borrowed from the K75.
The BMW Modulo Car M89 is reminiscent of the cockpit of a fighter in the body shape and layout of the passenger compartment: loading is carried out through one sliding door, the driver and passenger are located one after another. Inside, there are all the attributes typical of a car: classic steering wheel, traditional pedals, gearbox shift lever, etc.
For a one-of-a-kind BMW, the owner asks for 38,000 euros. However, it is unclear whether it will be possible to travel on public roads on it – nothing is said about the permission to admit the car to the tracks. You can see the announcement on the site autovergiate.it.
