Spy shots have appeared on the Web showing a camouflaged prototype of the new generation Volkswagen T7 in the back of a passenger minivan.
A couple of days ago, the German automaker showed the all-new Transporter in a teaser – the photo showed the design of the front of the car. Today we can share a new batch of “spy” shots of the long-awaited novelty and it looks like the car has completely received serial body panels and serial optics and is generally ready for the official presentation.
These photos show two test samples of the passenger Multivan T7. Masking film covers the front of the prototype seen. It is known to have an LED strip underneath that connects the front LED headlights. The front bumper is also covered with a camouflage film, which makes it difficult to consider its updated design.
The new T7 is expected to be built on the MQB architecture that the new VW Caddy is also based on. The use of this “trolley” for a long time to present the popular commercial model with modern technology.
According to rumors, the cargo version of the German novelty will receive a 2.0-liter diesel TDI. The passenger version of the model will receive a plug-in hybrid power plant, which will consist of a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine and an electric motor. The total power will be 242 hp. (400 Nm).
