2022 Ford Raptor details revealedOctober 24, 2020
Auto journalists got a dealership document containing details about the new American pickup truck Ford Raptor.
While it is still not known exactly when the next generation Ford F-150 Raptor will debut, we are confident it will be the 2022 model. The all-new 2021 F-150 lineup is heading to showrooms, and recent reports show the new Raptor is still in final testing. Most likely, ngo official debut will take place early next year. Until then, controversy continues not only regarding its engines, but also body configurations.
Rumors surfaced earlier this week that the next Raptor will only be offered in a SuperCrew configuration. With four full-size doors, this option is generally better suited for families and more rear-seat passengers. However, the idea that the SuperCab configuration would disappear from the lineup was not entirely correct.
A document was recently sent to Ford dealerships that appears to confirm that both configurations will be offered again. Ford declined to comment on the latest information. There’s another advantage to keeping the SuperCab alive: The outgoing Raptor SuperCab costs $ 3,000 less than its SuperCrew counterpart. These are pretty significant changes, and not everyone needs the extra SuperCrew interior.
Official prices are obviously still not available, but the dealer price list indicates that renting a new Raptor will be quite expensive. The Raptor is currently exempt from rental incentives and this trend is expected to continue. High rental prices can also be a common sign of the Raptor’s soaring prices. By comparison, the 2020 Raptor SuperCab starts at around $ 53,000.
Due to competition from the Ram 1500 TRX Hellcat, the next Raptor will be offered with two engine options. Most likely, one of them will be the 5.2-liter V8 “predator” Mustang Shelby GT500 supercharged with a capacity of 760 hp. and 847 Nm of torque, which will provide a significant increase in power compared to 702 hp. and 880 Nm TRX, and the “base” can be an updated version of the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6.
