2021 Seat Leon gets new petrol and diesel enginesApril 7, 2021
Seat’s best-selling model, the Leon, is now available in the UK with new gasoline and diesel engines.
Available exclusively for the Leon hatchback in FR, FR Sport, XCellence and XCellence Lux trim levels, the 2.0-liter TSI petrol unit develops 190 hp. This engine is mated to an automatic DSG gearbox and allows the Leon to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.4 seconds and to a maximum of 232 km / h.
Pricing for this new variant of the Spanish compact starts at £ 28,810 and comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension, rear tinted windows, ambient lighting, rain sensing wipers, smartphone integration and selection of the drive profile. The FR Sport trim starts at £ 30,370 and adds 18-inch wheels, heated front seats and steering wheel, and micro-suede upholstery.
The XCellence variant is available starting at £ 30,800 and comes with 17-inch wheels, keyless entry, power folding side mirrors, and front seats and heated steering wheel, while the XCellence Lux costs £ 31,980 and has leather upholstery, high beam assistant, adaptive cruise control and dynamic road sign display.
Meanwhile, the new 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine develops 115 hp, allowing the hatchback to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 10.5 seconds and a top speed of 200 km / h. The diesel lineup is represented by the SE and SE Dynamic versions at a price of £ 24,515 and £ 25,615, respectively.
The SE version features 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and taillights, and an 8.25-inch smartphone-enabled infotainment system. SE Dynamic has 17-inch wheels, tinted rear windows, 10-inch infotainment system and digital instrument cluster.
