2021 Lexus ES sedan details revealedAugust 21, 2020
The Japanese premium brand has announced that the 2021 Lexus ES business sedan will be available with all-wheel drive. A limited edition Black Line will also be offered. The prices for new items are already known.
The updated Lexus ES 250 in the 2021 model year will be the first member of the ES family to offer all-wheel drive. Under the hood of this version is the same 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that powers the hybrid version of the ES model. In non-hybrid form, it produces 203 horsepower and fuel consumption is 8.4 liters for every 100 kilometers. The ES 250’s fuel economy is actually better than the front-wheel-drive Lexus ES, which boasts a 9.04 liter (3.5-liter V6) fuel economy.
As with the front-wheel-drive ES, the all-wheel drive ES250 AWD is also available in the more powerful F Sport version. The ES 250 AWD F Sport features a sport-tuned suspension, 19-inch wheels and more sticky rubber, and new darkened body parts.
Also to the ES lineup for 2021 will be added a new Black Line rendition, released in a limited edition of only 1,500 pieces.
The ES Black Line, based on the F Sport trim, is available in three body colors – Ultrasonic Blue Mica, Obsidian and Ultra White – and features black side mirror caps, tinted rims and a black front spoiler. It also has the same two-tone black and white interior as the standard F Sport model. Lexus ES Black Line buyers also receive a two-piece set designed by Zero Halliburton – a small 22-inch bag and a large 26-inch travel suitcase.
The 2021 Lexus ES will go on sale this fall for a starting price of $ 39,900. The Luxury package has a minimum price tag of $ 45,100, the F Sport price starts at $ 45,700, and the Ultra Luxury package can be purchased for at least $ 48,900. Lexus asks for $ 46,550. for the exclusive Black Line version, and it is only available in a front-wheel drive configuration.
