2021 Ford Bronco Official Specs Show Higher PowerMay 9, 2021
Ford was wrong about the performance of the revived 2021 Bronco SUV. The results of the release force of the motors of the new brand have appeared.
Deliveries of the refreshed 2021 Ford Bronco SUV will begin by summer. This is one of the brand’s most anticipated models this year. Although the car was released a year ago, it never reached customers.
At launch, the two- and four-door Bronco was shipped with power ratings. For the smaller 2.3-liter 4-cylinder EcoBoost turbocharged engine, it is rated for power up to 270 “horses” and 420 Nm. On the other hand, the larger 2.7-liter EcoBoost turbocharged V6 is rated to produce a maximum of 310 hp. and 542 Nm of torque.
Turns out Ford was lying about those numbers, which is a good thing. According to the Bronco Datasheet in PDF format published on the Bronco6G Forum, the final power outputs of the SAE-rated SUV are slightly higher than originally announced.
The spec shows that the 2.3-liter EcoBoost is rated for up to 300bhp. and 441 Nm, while the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 develops power up to 330 hp. and 563 Nm. Such performance will require premium fuel. Otherwise, the performance of the motor will be slightly lower.
Meanwhile, the production of the Bronco was stopped due to the semiconductor crisis. However, this does not throw Ford off its current path. The automaker has assured concerned owners that deliveries will still begin by summer or around June 20.
