2021 Audi Q4 E-Tron electric crossover spotted in testsSeptember 8, 2020
Photos from tests of a camouflaged prototype of the Audi Q4 E-Tron electric crossover have appeared on the web. The new 2021 model year will debut in 2020.
Just a couple of minutes ago, our editors received photos with a test sample of the Audi Q4 E-Tron electric crossover. The novelty of the 2021 model year will be built on the basis of the MEB modular platform, developed by the VW AG concern (the premium Audi brand is part of the concern).
As before, the Q4 E-Tron prototypes are still covered in camouflage film, although it’s not hard to imagine their exterior.
It should be noted that the prototypes shown here appear to have inherited the styling and proportions from the conceptual version of the electric crossover, with the exception of the huge wheels and large side mirrors.
Audi has confirmed that the Audi Q4 E-Tron will debut this year alongside the E-Tron GT electric sedan. Most of the technical specifications will be similar to those in the concept versions of these new products, but we suspect there will be minor changes.
The concept version of the Q4 E-Tron crossover was equipped with a power unit designed for a total output of 302 horsepower – it consisted of two electric motors to create the Quattro all-wheel drive. The 82 kWh battery is expected to offer enough energy to travel 450 km (European WLTP cycle). The charging power is 125 kW, which allows the car to be charged up to 80 percent in half an hour.
