2020 Audi RS7 gets 962 hp and stylish colors from the tuning studioAugust 7, 2020
After Black Box-Richter took on the high-performance 2020 Audi RS7 German liftback, its engine power increased from 591 hp. to an impressive 962.
Tuning company Black Box-Richter presents a modified 2020 Audi RS7. The car received a significant increase in performance – although this liftback could hardly be called powerful enough before. It also has a unique “two-step” graphic that looks like a topographic map.
The 2020 Audi RS Sportback was unveiled at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show alongside its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine.
The motor in its standard form produces 591 hp. power and 800 Nm of torque. After the specialists of the Black Box-Richter studio worked on this engine, these figures were increased to 962 hp. and 1250 Nm, respectively. According to representatives of the tuner, it became possible to achieve these numbers thanks to many updates.
The tuner has flashed the ECM, removed the electronic top speed limiter and redesigned the intake system with a larger box, new filter and large intake hoses. In front of the turbochargers, there is now a redesigned intake manifold with a larger cross-section. Larger turbine shafts are also available, although the compressors themselves remain the same. There are reinforced thrust bearings, larger turbocharger inlets and new boost pressure sensors.
Now for the new high-performance graphics. The bodywork was completed in two stages. First, the car was painted in a matte black diamond color, and then a layer of silver lines of different thicknesses was applied on top. The combination of these two layers gives the effect of a topographic map. The process of creating a unique look takes about a week.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that ABT has added power to the Audi A6 Allroad. Tuning company ABT has added performance to the fourth-generation gasoline and diesel versions of the Audi A6 Allroad.
