2006 Rare Hammond Roadster for saleJune 3, 2019
An interesting car is being sold at the current Bring A Trailer. This is a custom-made roadster designed and manufactured by the seller for four years and reportedly all work was completed in 2006.
The 2006 Hammond Roadster, as the seller calls it, has a silver-fiberglass molded case with a removable soft black top. The whole body was built over two years. The machine received a steel frame, which was custom-made. The roadster uses a height-adjustable suspension and 17-inch wheels with traction control. It should be noted that in the announcement stated several body colors for this baby.
In addition to the rather unusual exterior, the Hammond Roadster was built using parts of a damaged Chrysler 300M 2002 model.
The latter is a more powerful version of the conventional model. So, from this crumpled car was taken 3.5-liter V6. No output indicators of this engine are stated in the roadster, but if we take the donor car, the engine produces 255 hp in it. 4-step “automatic” transmits torque to the rear wheels.
Inside the Hammond Roadster comes with black sports seats with red accents and Corbeau racing belts. It is noteworthy that the steering wheel seems a bit huge for such a tiny saloon, considering that it is also inherited from 300M. The car is also equipped with hoops and rollers for safety.
