A black GMC Sierra pickup of 1990 model with a Tridon body kit will be launched under the hammer. The car has a figure of 100,000 km on the odometer. and put up for sale at a price of $ 19,995

When you see a large American pickup with a dark exterior trimmed with brown stripes and optional accessories, late 1970s automotive fashions often come to mind. It’s worth noting that this custom truck won’t be easy to identify. This is indeed a 1990 GMC Sierra 3500 and is selling right now for $ 19,995.

This highly custom pickup truck is currently listed for sale on ClassicCars.com overseas.

But this is not just another one-time wide-body “rework” built in someone’s backyard. This car was created by Knudsen Automotive Design (now Rage Exotic Vehicles). In the 1980s, this atelier created a number of kits for this pickup, including the Tridon body kit found on this auction car.

The Sierra already had a wide rear with its dual design, but there’s no denying the rather unusual look of the legendary Testarossa-style widebody side vents flowing into the rear panels. The front fenders also increased in width, and the pointed nose completely obscured the flat face typical of GMC and Chevrolet pickups of the time.

For this particular vehicle, the sale announcement states that the vehicle is in good general condition and has a range of 100,000 km. The paint has begun to deteriorate in places, and the fiberglass body kit has some flaws. The ad says the brown interior is impeccable, and judging from the photos posted, one can agree with that. Under the hood is an old 7.4-liter V8 engine mated to a three-speed automatic transmission that drives the twin rear wheels.

$ 20,000 or RUR 1,496,902 certainly isn’t cheap for a 31-year-old single-ton GMC Sierra, especially given that this truck is apparently rear-wheel drive only. However, the announcement of the sale states that the installation of a Tridon body kit at one time cost $ 12,000.

Not so long ago, AutoTImesNEws wrote that a collection of 20 rare Pontiac muscle cars will be sold at auction. This private collection was put together by US Navy veteran and former Post Office employee Bernie Larson. Now all these Pontiacs will be auctioned off.
