At one time, this unusual car of a juicy green shade came out in a very limited edition. The last bet on such a BMW rose to 120 thousand dollars.

Auction house “Bring A Trailer” put up for sale another interesting lot – Batmobile 3.0 CSL 1974 release. The copy that got to the auction is one of the 57 cars produced at one time. The basis of the “Batmobile”, modified for racing purposes, lay the E9 coupe. A feature of this model is the green shade of the body. All in all, only four cars could boast of such an unusual color. The car was equipped with a three-liter inline “six” at the factory, but the current owner of the BMW 3.0 CSL changed his native engine to a larger 3.2-liter, created by the guys from Terry Tinney Performance Motors. The new power unit was paired with 4MKPP.

It is known that the current owner conducted a comprehensive restoration of the car, returning to it the original shade of Taiga Metallic. This auction lot even managed to preserve the original Batmobile aerodynamic package, consisting of a front splitter, large rear wheels from Alpina, as well as spectacular ribs on the front wheel arches.

Over its 45-year history, the car managed to run only 74 thousand kilometers. Currently, the highest bid for Batmobile 3.0 CSL has reached 120 thousand dollars. Three days are left until the end of the auction.

Recall that earlier the auction house RM Sotheby’s put up for auction a 1966 Mercedes-Benz limousine with a glass roof. The owner of this “panoramic” car was an oil tycoon.
