1956 Ford F-100 pickup truck with Mustang engine put up for saleJanuary 6, 2020
Auction house Barrett-Jackson this month will bid for the sale of the restomode Ford F-100 1956 release. The pickup truck acquired equipment from the modern Ford Mustang Shelby GT350.
Custom based on the Ford F-100 was assembled by the American company West Atlanta Hot Rods. The car has a naturally aspirated V8 engine with a volume of 5.2 liters with a capacity of 533 hp. and a torque of 581 Nm, which works in conjunction with a 6-speed manual transmission.
So that this instance could drive not only directly, uncut axles were replaced with independent suspension in front and rear. Low-profile tires are worn on modern discs, and more powerful brakes have been installed instead of standard brakes.
After the restoration, the car body got 3 inches wider rear wings and a matte black finish. The terrible appearance is emphasized by LED optics and tinted “in a circle.” The interior is trimmed with black leather with red stitching: an infotainment complex with a rear-view camera is installed.
The auction house did not name the starting cost of the restmod. Ford F-100 does not have a reserve price, for this reason it can go under the hammer for any amount.
