More than 150 sports cars Ferrari Dino managed to be assembled in honor of the 50th anniversary of the model. The participants of the festive event, which took place on the territory of the Italian Fiorano autodrome, lined up to the figure 50, the words Dino and Anni.

The Dino brand was created by Ferrari to produce affordable and inexpensive sports cars capable of competing with the Porsche 911. Since Enzo Ferrari did not want to go into the lower market segment, it was decided not to mention Ferrari. The name of the car was received in memory of the deceased son of Enzo – Alfredo “Dino” Ferrari.

The first road version of Dino, and concurrently the first Ferrari-built non-stop car, was the 1968 Dino 206 GT. The design of the sports car was developed by Leonardo Fioravanti, who worked in Pininfarina. The Dino 206 GT was equipped with a transversely installed two-liter V6 engine, the output of which was 180 horsepower. In total, between 1968 and 1969, 152 such cars were produced.

In 1969, the Dino 206 GT was replaced by a 195-horsepower Dino 246 GT. From the previous version, it featured an enlarged wheelbase and a body of steel instead of aluminum. The model is offered in the body of the coupe, and after 1971 targa appeared in the line.

The last model, produced under the brand Dino, was the four-seater coupe Dino 308 GT4. The car was distinguished by its angular shapes (the merit of designers Bertone), as well as the V8 engine. A 2.9-liter unit with four Weber carburetors and a camber angle of 90 degrees produced 255 horsepower.

Under the Dino brand, the model 308 GT4 was produced until 1976. After which the car began to produce as a Ferrari.
