1 megawatt electric hypercar to be developed in Valley of Motors
June 7, 2020Startup Elektron Innovativ GmbH, which was founded by Turkish businessman Armagan Arabu, will produce its own cars in the Valley of Motors – next to Ferrari, Lamborghini, Pagani and Maserati.
As noted in the company, the debut project of the company will be the hypercar Elektron One. At the moment, it exists only in the form of computer images, but they promise to demonstrate the real electric car next spring at the Geneva auto show – if it passes.
Currently, it is known that the coupe will acquire a composite monocoque made of carbon fiber, aramid and biofiber, in which the battery is integrated. The performance of the power unit will be 1 megawatt or 1360 metric hp.
Elektron One will differ from other electric hypercars, first of all, in significantly more democratic – by the standards of the class – cost, and secondly, in fact, in mass production. According to the plan of Arabul, excluding taxes, the cost of new items will vary between 330,000 – 350,000 euros
Initially, it is planned to build 140 cars a year, but after 3 years, production will increase to 500 units. For the sake of comparison, the entire circulation of Pininfarina Battista will be no more than 150 pcs., The cost of each of which will start from 2 million euros.
