Updated BMW 2-Series Active Tourer will get a curved displayJune 23, 2020
Carscoops has released new-generation BMW 2-Series Active Tourer spy photos.
Judging by the pictures, the main difference between the new product and the current model will be the appearance in the cabin of a dimensional curved monitor that combines two screens. One of them will serve as a dashboard, and the other – a multimedia system.
The driving mode selection buttons and parking sensors are located in front of the central armrest, on the console, which also has an emergency lighting button and a special volume control knob. In addition, in the interior you can see the steering wheel with leather trim.
The novelty will be built on the UKL2 platform, which underlies the new 1-Series, X1 and X2. The compact BMW minivan will be slightly larger than its predecessor. It is assumed that the new model will borrow gasoline and diesel engines from the latest 1-Series hatchback, while hybrid variants are allowed to appear in the lineup.
The basic configuration of the 2-Series Active Tourer will receive a 6-speed manual transmission and all-wheel drive system, while the flagship versions will receive an 8-speed automatic transmission. XDrive AWD will get only some modifications of a restyled minivan.
The debut of the updated BMW 2-Series Active Tourer should take place this year.
In addition, recently, BMW introduced the “golden” performance of the flagship coupe 8 Series. The cost of a new variation of the model has not yet been disclosed.
