Presented boat in the style of the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door CoupeFebruary 15, 2019
At the exhibition of boats and yachts in Miami, a presentation of the limited version of the speedboat 41 ’AMG Carbon Edition, built by the Cigarette Racing shipyard with Mercedes-AMG, took place. The inspiration for the boat was the “four-door coupe” GT 4-Door Coupe.
The basis of the boat was the serial model 41 ’GTR with an overall length of 12.5 meters. For the appearance of the speedboat, the chief designer of Daimler AG, Gorden Wagener, was responsible, and the construction of the boat was carried out by Cigarette specialists. The design is widely used carbon fiber: made from the elements of the hull, deck, steering wheel, wheelhouse roof. Thanks to this, the 41 ’AMG Carbon Edition is 227 kilograms lighter than the longer 2017 50’ Marauder AMG.
The 41 ’AMG Carbon Edition is driven by four Mercury Racing 400R engines with a total power of 1,622 horsepower. With their help, the boat can accelerate to 134 kilometers per hour.
The speedboat equipment includes a seat trim with Cigarette Cool, which reflects up to 30 percent heat and three 17-inch displays. The boat can accommodate up to 20 people, but when driving at maximum speed it can be only eight.
Last February, Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette built a 16-meter 515 Project One, inspired by the same-name hypercar. The speedboats were equipped with two eight-cylinder Mercury Racing engines, giving out 1350 horsepower each.
