Journalists captured the updated Acura MDX crossover in a powerful Type-S version

journalists published photos of the updated Acura MDX crossover. Our insiders report that, despite the very dense camouflage on the observed prototype of the novelty, the debut of the car can take place in six months.

The last time we saw the test samples of the new Acura MDX crossover in a powerful Type-S performance, they were covered in rather heavy camouflage. So this time, the engineers of the Japanese premium brand also decided to disguise almost every centimeter of the machine with false panels and special film as much as possible. It is curious that the radiator grille of the car is open to our gaze – in particular, therefore, we decided that this is exactly the prototype of the updated Acura MDX crossover.

As for the rest of the mid-size news, thanks to the efforts of the guys from Acura, we can say little about the exterior of the updated crossover, although we can still notice some details.

It looks like this prototype has serial headlights under camouflage or at least something less strange than the strange temporary lights we saw on the previous test car. We can also see a slightly enlarged central air intake on the front bumper, which is combined with an increased in size grille. Overall, the front of the car looks very familiar.

How do we know that this is a “charged” Type-S performance? Four rear exhaust pipes and unusual tires on all four wheels suggest that this crossover has more power under the hood than a typical MDX. We heard that this is a turbocharged V6. The current MDX offers either a 3.5-liter V6 or a 3.0-liter engine – both without forced induction.

Our insiders also report that, despite the very dense camouflage on the observed prototype of the novelty, the debut of the car can take place in six months.

Not so long ago, our publication wrote that Acura announces prices for the TLX sedan by PMC Handbuilt. In total, 360 units of the Japanese Acura TLX sports sedan in the PMC Handbuilt version will be produced. The price of each of them is 50 945 dollars.
