A completely new information and entertainment system Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) was presented at the exhibition of consumer electronics CES 2018 in Las Vegas. It debuts this year in the new generation A-Class.
MBUX is based on the free Linux platform. The new multimedia system is equipped with a six-core processor and runs on nVidia graphics chips. The amount of RAM is 8 GB. The navigation system is located on the hard drive. Also, the multimedia supports Near Field Communication (NFC) technology and has a USB Type C port for quick charging of the smartphone.
Even in the basic version of the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class, the MBUX system will have two color screens. Their diagonals will be the same – 7 inches. One of them will be a digital instrument panel. The internal hardware stuffing will not be cut. In more expensive versions, the multimedia system will already have two 10.25-inch displays.
