Hennessey made the Ford F-150 more powerful GT supercarOctober 11, 2018
Engine power brought up to 768 hp
The American studio Hennessey Performance presented a special modification of the Ford F-150 pickup truck – Heritage Edition. The power of this car was higher than that of the GT supercar.
“Charged” pickup painted in bright red with white “racing” stripes and the number “1” on the body. Similarly, a special Ford GT supercar, dedicated to the GT40 coupe, was designed, which in 1967 won the 24 Hours of Le Mans Marathon.
The pickup is equipped with a five-liter “eight”, with which Hennessey specialists added a mechanical supercharger, modified the inlet and outlet, replaced the intercooler and fuel system. The power of the unit after modifications is 768 horsepower – 113 more power than the GT coupe.
In addition, the tuners prepared for the pickup two packages of options: sports and off-road.
The first involves the installation of lowered suspension, Brembo brakes, anti-roll bars and 22-inch wheels. With the second, the car will receive a lift suspension (+76 millimeters), 20-inch wheels with “toothed” tires.
The cost of improvements is not specified.
