Hennessey introduced the high-performance pickup VelociRaptorMay 2, 2019
For each Hennessey VelociRaptor is provided a warranty of 3 years or 57,936 km. Only 500 copies of the VelociRaptor will be built this year. Data on prices for highly upgraded pickup based on the Ford Ranger so far no.
The famous American tuning studio Hennessey Performance loves to create fast pickups based on Ford F-150 Raptor trucks. Now they turned their attention to the updated Ford Ranger – the modernized truck got the familiar name of VelociRaptor.
Standard Ford Ranger is equipped with a 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine EcoBoost family of 270 horsepower, which works with a manual transmission. In this video, which appeared on the studio’s YouTube channel, the power of the truck is measured on the dyno at which he was able to show 243 horsepower.
After adding upgraded software to improve performance and a stainless steel exhaust system, the guys from Hennessey expected to get 360 horsepower and 596.6 Nm of torque.
In fact, the output power is 306 “horses”, and the torque is 507.1 Nm.
I must say that this is quite a significant increase in power compared with the standard version of the pickup. It should also be noted that the peak power and torque of the motor are available at lower engine speeds, which should help both off-road and level road.
The guys from Hennessey installed their 4.0-inch lifting kit Stage 1, which is complemented by a set of 18-inch aluminum wheels with off-road tires BF Goodrich KM2 285 / 70R18. The pickup will also receive wider wings, additional LED lighting.
