Does Ford work on the F-150 pickup in the Tremor off-road version?July 9, 2019
A full-size pickup Ford F-150 can get off-road performance Tremor – this is what foreign journalists say. So far, nothing has been officially confirmed.
It seems like the recently seen prototype F-150 with a short cargo platform and a cabin similar to the one used on the Raptor versions is in fact a test sample of the new Tremor performance.
At the moment, there is no official information about what the F-150 truck will be like in the conquering-oriented off-road version of the Tremor, and indeed, the appearance of such a car has not been officially confirmed either.
It can be assumed that, if, nevertheless, the management of the “blue oval” decides to present such a version of its full-size pickup, we can expect a significantly elevated and reconfigured suspension, additional underbody protection, off-road tires, another control system and much more.
Considering that the more powerful Raptor version comes with a 3.5-liter V6 rated at 450 hp. twin-turbocharged, the new Tremor can get either a 3.3-liter V6 with a turbocharging output of 290 or 325 hp or a twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6. In this case, the new F-150 Tremor will be able to compete with the Ram 1500 Rebel and the Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss. These cars offer impressive off-road capabilities and a brutal appearance.
As mentioned above, there is no official confirmation of the brand’s intentions to present the Tremor off-road version for the current F-150 version, they want rumors that this will happen only in the next generation of the model.
Not so long ago, our publication wrote that the iconic Ford GT was put up for sale with an incredibly low mileage. This “lot” put up for auction auction house RM Sotheby’s. The car produced in 2006 managed to run a little over 18 kilometers.
