Brabham will present a new model of “street” hypercar in 2020May 29, 2019
According to insiders, it will be almost an ordinary road car that will feel confident on the race track.
Last year, the Australian company Brabham Automotive presented a rather interesting hypercar at the Goodwood Speed Festival. The car was named BT62. I must say that this legendary company has a long history in the design and production of racing cars.
So, as part of the festival of speed, representatives of the brand told reporters about plans to create fast cars, which will also have the right to move on public roads. At that moment, everything told was for the most part just a theory, but now, the company’s plans received the “green light” from the leadership of Brabham Automotive.
Insiders say that the company is currently developing a new car that will be “slightly softer, easier to use” than the hardcore BT62. This car can be “walk” on ordinary city roads, as well as used as a real racing car on the track.
At present, no details about the novelty are known. The company plans to sell significantly more copies of its new car, compared with the same BT62.
For those who are not familiar with the current Brabham hypercar, it is worth noting that it will be released in an edition of 70 copies. The price of each of them is about 1.3 million dollars. BT62 is equipped with a 5.4-liter V8 with a capacity of 700 horsepower, the total weight of the hypercar is only 971.59 kg.
