Audi Corporation has unveiled its own new electrocross – Q4 Sportback e-tron. Demonstration of the car took place online.

At the moment, only the prototype of the upcoming model has been demonstrated. The serial production of the Q4 Sportback is due to begin in 2021. The novelty will compete with the Jaguar I-Pace and Tesla Model X.

Externally, the 4-door coupe resembles the Audi Q4 e-tron concept concept model shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 2019. The car has a length of 4.6 m, a width of 1.9 m, a height of 1.6 m, and the distance between the axles is 2.77 meters. The cross-coupe acquired an 8-angle Singleframe grille, extended wheel arches, LED optics and an illuminated e-tron emblem.

In addition, the cross received 22-inch wheels, a spoiler and a diffuser. In turn, the interior of the car was trimmed with white and beige microfiber. The electric car, in particular, is equipped with a virtual dashboard Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen.

The new model is based on MEB architecture from the German concern VW. It is equipped with two electric motors – one on each axis. The total performance of the engines is 306 hp. The power reserve of the electric car is 450 km (according to the WLTP cycle). The Q4 e-tron accelerates to 100 km / h in 4.3 seconds and accelerates to 180 km / h as much as possible. The 82 kWh battery is under the floor.

Audi claims that by the year 2025 there will be 20 electric cars in their lineup. The corporation predicts that sales of environmentally friendly cars will reach 40% of total sales.

In addition, it was recently noted that Audi will introduce the A9 E-tron electric sedan in 2024. The novelty will compete with cars such as the Mercedes-Benz EQS and the new Jaguar XJ.
